City Sightseeing Glasgow's open-top bus tour is the perfect way to discover Glasgow, offering a choice of two tour routes exploring different areas of our wonderful city. The Red Route explores attractions in the centre and west end of Glasgow such as the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, The Riverside Museum and the University of Glasgow. The Yellow Route will take you to our sights in the east and south of the city including Celtic Park, Ibrox, the Science Centre and the Burrell Collection. Tours leave from George Square and operate 7 days a week.
Glasgow is Scotland's biggest city, and the third biggest city in the whole of the UK. Culture, great food, fantastic buildings. Glasgow really does have it all. A great place to start your day is George Square, which is the city’s main square. Admire the monuments to famous Scots and the impressive architecture while taking some time to look at the map and plan your itinerary on the City sightseeing bus hop-on hop-off tour bus . With so much to choose from, it’s hard to know where to begin so here are three suggestions we think might help:
Glasgow is a city that’s jampacked with culture, which is why our first must-hop-off destination is Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. Housed in a stunning 19th-century building that was built for the city’s 1888 International Exhibition of Science, Art and Industry, it contains 22 separate galleries with an enormous range of different types of exhibits, from an excellent natural history collection, one of the world’s best collections of armour and some incredible paintings, including works by Van Gogh and Monet. Once back on the bus, hop off again at the Hilton Garden Inn and walk across the river to visit the Glasgow Science Centre, which is a brilliant modern interactive museum that will entertain both young and old. You can also climb the rotating Glasgow tower for unbeatable views of the city. Our last recommendation is to hop off at Glasgow Cathedral. This magnificent medieval cathedral is the oldest building in the city and one of the very finest examples of Scottish Gothic architecture.
